The 2024 BetVictor German Masters, officially known as the 18th German Masters, is a professional snooker tournament. It will take place from January 29th to February 4th at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany. The event will be the twelfth ranking event of the 2023/24 snooker season.

History of the German Masters

The German Masters was first held in 1995 as the German Open. It became a ranking event in 1998. The tournament has been held in Berlin since 2011, except for 2021 when it was hosted in Milton Keynes, England due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ali Carter is the defending champion, having defeated Jack Lisowski 9-2 in the 2023 final. Notable past winners include Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Selby, and Judd Trump.

Format and Schedule

The 2024 BetVictor German Masters will be played over six days, with the first round starting on January 29th. The tournament will be played in a knockout format, with the top 16 seeds receiving a bye to the second round.

The final will be played over two sessions on February 4th. The winner will receive a prize of £80,000, while the runner-up will receive £35,000.
